Find Out MoreVizor Software, the world leader in cross-border information exchange for Tax Authorities, today announced that Mary O’Leary, will represent Vizor at The Inter-American Centre of Tax Administrations (CIAT) III International Taxation Network. Organised by GIZ (German Cooperation), EUROsociAL+, Maastricht University (MU), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the conference will take place at the Maastricht University campus in the city of Brussels, Belgium 2-5, September 2019.
Founded in 1967, CIAT supports the efforts of national governments by promoting the evolution, social acceptance and institutional strengthening of tax administrations, encouraging international cooperation and the exchange of experiences and best practices.
The CIAT Executive Secretariat has been promoting, since 2017 the "Network of International Taxation". This network meets once a year and its main purposes are to discuss current issues relating to the taxation of global topics, to disseminate the vision and the work of international public organisations, research centres and civil society, as well as sharing experiences between tax administrations of the CIAT member countries.
"Exchange of information is high on the political agenda for most countries these days and, in particular, those of developing countries (as are many of the CIAT members) in their progression towards implementation of the EOI standards. In this regard, I am delighted to have been invited by the CIAT Secretariat to participate in this event and to keep abreast of developments in this area.” Commented Mary O’Leary, CRS & AEOI Business Development Manager at Vizor.
